Squarespace Website: Two Realtors, One Mission

Several months ago I was connected with two hard-working realtors in the Hampton Roads area who were branching out on their own to start a new endeavor called Mission Realty Group. Not only did they need a new website for their own business, they wanted to create a hub where all the agents who serve Mission Realty could have an online home. So I set out creating two websites that would be unique but complement each other well.

For Carlson & Snyder Realtors, one main feature we wanted to highlight was their reviews. Through websites like Zillow, a lot of people find not only a good home but a good realtor to buy or sell their property. Their mission is to help everyone they know have the smoothest possible experience with buying and/or selling a home, and they accomplish this with a small team of four and the best customer service they can provide.

We also wanted to connect their new website with the Mission Realty website to make switching from one place to the other as seamless as possible. Another central piece, of course, is creating a variety of ways for clients to easily get in touch with the team. We accomplished this with a bold but simple layout and lots of ‘repeat’ links so that nobody would have to search for the contact form.

Next up was the Mission Realty Group website. This essentially became a landing page that highlights the various agents and teams making up the group. We wanted to keep the mission front and center (no pun intended!) so we could show the difference it would make to work with any of the realtors involved in this new venture.

Along the same lines, we had to highlight an easy way to visit each agent’s reviews or website, as well as provide simple ways to contact them. In addition to a whole lot of buttons that made the next step pretty clear, we added a contact form to the website that would allow users looking for a simple way to get in touch with a next step of their own.

The Squarespace template allowed me to create a very custom, very user-friendly experience for these teams. It also gave the agents the flexibility to make small text edits on their own, while I could make any larger updates or design changes when the need arose.

It’s exciting to see these teams coming together and growing to serve the realty needs of the whole Hampton Roads region, and it was truly a pleasure to work with these strong women (mostly!) to create an online home that fit their mission and vision.
