New Squarespace Website: Dr. Pamm, Psychotherapist & Mindfulness Teacher
As much as I love new businesses and working with them to establish an online presence, I also get so excited when an established business owner who has had a website for years decides it’s time to update. This isn’t an easy decision - it’s hard to let go of something you love! - but the world we live in is a mobile-friendly, responsive one that demands a sleek, modern website. So, without further ado, here is the latest Squarespace website launch:
Dr. Pamm, Psychotherapist & Mindfulness Teacher
Dr. Pamm had a website that worked for years, but she knew it was time to update. The challenge was pulling the old content from her blog and resource pages, then making it work with a new website design. She uses a lot of words to connect with current and future patients, so creating a site that is easy to read was a top priority.
In addition, as a psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher, Dr. Pamm wanted her site to be inviting. No harsh, bright colors here! I selected soft, welcoming images at each stage of the website to complement the way she wants clients to feel when they visit her online home.
In addition to creating the blog and migrating the content, we needed a new system to sell her mindfulness and meditation recordings. Up to this point she sent physical CDs, but this was another area of business that could be pulled into current-day standards. We took the digital recordings of her CDs and created an online Squarespace shop where users can purchase and instantly download her work.
Resources like these set Dr. Pamm apart from other mindfulness teachers, and having an all-in-one website would make the flow seamless. Dusty purples complemented the color palette nicely, as I redesigned the covers of these downloads to reflect the modern update.
Overall, I’m proud of the work we did to maintain the feeling that Dr. Pamm wanted to convey while creating a clean, sleek website that is easy to navigate and allows clients to see more information, pay their fees when necessary, and look at upcoming events as they are added to the calendar in 2021. I set up the SEO features to attract clients in Williamsburg and all over Hampton Roads, and the quickly-loading site will only help with search engine rankings!
This project often took me out of my comfort zone, which was a good challenge for me. When we finally got to hit the ‘launch’ button, it was nothing but celebration, with new and exciting things ahead for Dr. Pamm and her beautiful Squarespace website!
