The Five Best Business Podcasts for Holiday Travel
The holidays are coming, and ain’t nobody got time to read super long blog posts! In fact, you’re probably in the car a lot this month between holiday parties and family travel, so what better time of year to listen to podcasts than now? If you’re like me, you like to be productive while you’re on the go, and part of the way I continue to move my business forward is by educating myself through business podcasts.
I am quite the podcast fanatic, so you can bet I’ve found some fantastic podcasts geared towards entrepreneurs and business owners. Here is my quick list of the best business podcasts and why I love them. If you have any suggestions, leave them below - I’m always game to add more to my list!
1) The EntreLeadership Podcast
Even though this is my newest find, it’s quickly become one of my favorites. The team behind Dave Ramsey interviews the best of the best when it comes to business leaders about everything from best hiring practices to leadership to business growth and more. Right now I’m combing through the archives to find the episodes I most need to hear right now and trust me - there are a ton, no matter what your business is!
2) Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
I have followed Amy for years, but my admiration for her rapidly-expanding business has grown exponentially this year, especially after attending The Entrepreneur Experience in October. I’ll let the description on her website speak for itself: “Expert interviews, mini execution plans, and intimate behind-the-scenes secrets from my biggest launches… all tied together by my mission to make EVERYTHING you listen to as actionable and profitable as possible.”
3) Social Media Marketing Podcast
I really cannot explain the impact that Social Media Examiner has had on my business, and their podcast is no exception. This one focuses specifically on everything social media, and it’s one that puts my note-taking skills to the test. Each episode is filled with real, practical tips that can be implemented immediately and make a big difference in your social media marketing efforts.
4) The Paid Search Podcast
For Google Adwords nerds and wanna-be nerds only! If that’s you, click subscribe RIGHT NOW. I have not found another resource with as much info specifically about advertising on Google as this one, and I cannot emphasize how much I’ve learned from it. Seriously, if this describes you, then start listening!
5) The Goal Digger Podcast
I’ll admit that I was pretty skeptical of this podcast when it was first released, because I thought it was more of a ‘rah-rah you’re awesome because you’re in business’ kind of a podcast…and I’m really not into that kind of thing. But, thankfully, I was proven long. Marketing maven (ha I’ve always wanted to use that term!) Jenna Kutcher consistently delivers with great advice and actionable tips to help your marketing, from social media to email newsletters and more. This has become a must-listen for me!
